"Uncertain House Rules"
Original Watercolor
Framed size: 39" x 53"
Tucked into the beautiful natural landscape of Caddo Lake, near the town of Uncertain, Texas, sits this dilapidated structure known as Dick and Charlie's Tea Room. It was constructed on the Marion-Harrison county line in the 1800's and served as a speakeasy during Prohibition from 1919-1933., Alcohol was legal in Marion County. So water taxis and beer boats shuttled people across the bayou for drinks and dancing. On one of the signs reads, "DICK & CHARLIE'S TEA ROOM: 1.THERE AIN'T NONE 2.THERE NEVER WAS NONE 3. THERE AIN'T GONA BE NONE."
